OK, this is kinda dated, but i went to Chingay '09 with Edison Lim last week.

With 4 tickets in his hand, he managed to get me and his family to watch that event.

Yea, kinda crowded and stuffs, but it sure was fun (maybe apart from the fire crackers that almost ripped my ears off =/) and everything, from performers to vehicles were amazing!

This is my first time attending Chingay btw, so i'm nt sure if it's up to standard. Ahahas.

Some photos i've taken during the event! (was realli paiseh due to the fact that i have the shortest lens amongst all the pro photographers =/)

This Chingay (or at least for me), had quite a few performance having to do with fire, burning or anything to do with heat. As you can see from the picture above, a fireball of some sort is made by throwing a pinch of flammable powder into a lighted torch.

If you didnt notice, there's a dragon somewhere near the ride side of the picture.

One of the most amazing performance i've seen! These china man were half naked, bare footed, running around in a rainf of molten iron, as they carried their dragon around!

A performance by the japanese cultural society! Singing konichiwa singapore, eventhough it's late at night =/ But nevertheless, a catchy tune, a great performance =D

Performance by korea cultural society, and spiced up with like TKD KIDS! Though they sucked, seriously...

After Chingay, we went to some CNY event which name i cnt pronounce.

I personally love this photo! The lighting the FOD. OK it maybe just me though D=
